The Beatles & President Obama

While reading the NY Times I came across this article about the top award for any musician in the country. The Library of Congress Gershwin Prize for Popular Song will honor either a songwriter, interpreter, or singer/songwriter whose career reflects lifetime achievement in promoting the genre of song as a vehicle of artistic expression and cultural understanding (Library of Congress) . There have been many great winners in the past, but this year was Sir Paul McCartney turn.

NY Times reported “A few minutes after the concert, Mr. McCartney returned to the microphone, thanking the Library of Congress and adding, “After the last eight years, it’s great to have a president who knows what a library is.” This guy is officially a Wildboy! Stay fresh Sir Paul!

Signed: Julian

Stay fresh, stay green, get WILD!
